ABOUT ME
La macchina fotografica me l'ha messa in mano mio padre che, fin da piccolo, mi ha insegnato ad osservare, a guardare, quasi a contemplare la realtà, per poi immortalare in un'immagine quello che più mi emozionava. Da una goccia di rugiada magicamente appoggiata su un fiore a un tramonto infuocato sulle Dolomiti. E' iniziata così la mia grande passione per la fotografia che mi ha accompagnato negli anni regalandomi notevoli soddisfazioni professionali. Ho collaborato per oltre un ventennio con le principali testate di turismo italiane ed estere, documentando ogni angolo della terra con immagini di forte impatto. Appassionato di sport, ho seguito diversi eventi Olimpici e Mondiali. Nel 1997, sono stato fotografo ufficiale della Fuji Film ai Mondiali di Sci Alpino del Sestriere.
IL BEST, pubblicazione del Comitato Olimpico che contiene le più belle foto sportive fatte al mondo, mi ha premiato per due anni consecutivi come unico italiano presente nel libro. Mi affascinano le immagini legate al Food and Wine, gli chef, i piatti. Cosi' ho fotografato grandi protagonisti della cucina italiana come Gennaro Esposito, Pino Lavarra, Enrico Crippa, Riccardo Agostini. Ma tutta la mia produzione ruota attorno ad un unico motivo ispiratore: la fotografia è una forma di espressione che mi consente di fermare un "istante" mentre accade e coglierne - nei continui mutamenti di spazio, di senso e di luce - l'aspetto sempre nuovo, "non-visto".
E per dirla con un titano della fotografia, H. Newton: "Il desiderio di scoprire, la voglia di emozionare, il gusto di catturare, tre concetti che riassumono l'arte della fotografia"
ABOUT ME
The camera has been in my hands since I was small, when my father taught me to watch, look, and almost contemplate reality, then capture what excited me in an image. A drop of dew resting magically on a flower or a fiery sunset over the Dolomites. It began a grand passion for photography that has stayed with me over the years, giving me tremendous professional satisfaction. For over twenty years I have worked with the main Italian and foreign heads of tourism, documenting every corner of the globe with profound images. I am also passionate about sport, attending several Olympic and World Cup events. In 1997 I was official photographer of the Fuji Film World Cup Alpine Skiing Event.
For two consecutive years I was recognized as the only Italian photographer in THE BEST, published by the Olympic Committee and containing the most beautiful photos in the world of sport. Depictions related to cuisine fascinate me - the ambience, chefs, food, and wine. I photographed prominent figures in Italian cuisine such as Gennaro Esposito, Pino Lavarra, Enrico Crippa, and Riccardo Agostini. Yet all my work rotates around a single inspiration: photography is a form of expression that allows me to stop and grasp a "moment" as it happens. The constant change of space and sense of light, always looking new and "unseen".
